SONY SMART WATCH 3

It comes with built-in accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and GPS sensor. The SmartWatch 3 sports a 1.6-inch (320x320 pixels) display, set within a stainless steel core and is waterproof with IP68 certification. The new smartwatch from Sony will be available in Classic (black) and Sport (lime) editions, with extra colour straps available in pink and white. The device also includes built-in 4GB storage and can connect with a Bluetooth headset.

The highlight of the SmartBand Talk is its curved and always-on 1.4-inch e-paper display, which the company claims is low-power consuming despite being highly visible and clear. NARRATIVE CLIP

Narrative clip (formerly known as Memoto) is a small wearable lifelogging camera, funded via crowd funding site Kickstarter.^[2] Development on the camera started in 2012 by Swedish company Memoto AB.^[3]
Memoto was featured on Swedish National TV News on February 23, 2013.^[4] It is reported to be released in spring, 2013, and automatically to take one picture every 30 seconds while wearing it throughout the day, a practice referred to as "life-logging". The TV feature also raises concerns on integrity and privacy issues, and whether use of the product in public might come into conflict with new proposed photography legislation in Sweden.
It took a while, but Narrative clip devices are getting delivered to Kickstarter backers from around (Chinese) New Year 2014.

PS4

The PlayStation 4 (officially abbreviated as PS4), is a video game console from Sony Computer Entertainment. Announced as the successor to the PlayStation 3 during a press conference on 20 February 2013, it was launched on 15 November 2013, in North America, and 29 November 2013, in Europe and Australia.^[18][19] It competes with Nintendo's Wii U and Microsoft's Xbox One, as one of the eighth generation of video game consoles.
Moving away from the more complex Cell architecture of its predecessor, the PlayStation 4 features an AMD x86-64 Accelerated Processing Unit, in hopes of attracting a broader range of developers
and support for the system. The PlayStation 4's GPU can perform 1.843 teraflops, making it the world's most powerful games console.^[20]
Sony intends more focus on social gameplay, incorporating a "share" button on the new controller and enabling a view of in-game play streamed live from friends. The console enables interactivity with other services and devices through the following methods: PlayStation Now, a cloud-based gaming service that offers streaming video game content;^[21] PlayStation App, designed to enhance gameplay by using smartphones and tablets as a second screen; and PlayStation Vita's design for playing a majority of PlayStation 4 games through wireless Remote Play.

XBOX ONE

Xbox One is a video game console developed and marketed by Microsoft. Announced on May 21, 2013, it is the successor to the Xbox 360 and is the third console in the Xbox family.^[7] It directly competes with Sony's PlayStation 4 and Nintendo's Wii U as part of the eighth generation of video game consoles.^[15][16] Xbox One was released across North America, several European markets, Australia, and New Zealand on November 22, 2013,^[2] and is scheduled for release in 26 other markets, including Japan, the remaining European markets, and the Middle East, sometime in September 2014.^[17] It will also be the first Xbox game console to be released in China, specifically in the Shanghai Free-Trade Zone.^[6] Microsoft and various publications have classified the device as an "all-in-one entertainment system",^[18][19][20] making it a competitor to other digital media players such as the Apple TV and the Google TV platforms.^[21][22][23]
Moving away from the Xbox 360's PowerPC-based architecture and back into the x86 architecture used in the first Xbox, the console features an AMD processor built around the x86-64 instruction set. Xbox One places an increased emphasis on entertainment integration, offering the ability to overlay live television programming from an existing set-top box, split-screen multitasking of applications, and improved second screen support. The console includes a newly upgraded Kinect motion sensing peripheral, previously an optional attachment for the Xbox 360. Microsoft is emphasizing the Kinect's integration with Xbox One through features such as a built-in Skype client for videoconferencing, user recognition and tracking, and the ability to use voice commands and gestures to navigate the console's user interface. New gaming functionality includes an expanded Xbox Live service, improved Kinect functionality, cloud computing, the ability to automatically record and share video highlights from gameplay, and support for live streaming gameplay online.
Upon its unveiling, Xbox One was criticized for its initial digital rights management policies (including a requirement for a periodic connection to the internet, and ambiguous restrictions on the resale and sharing of previously-purchased games), along with Kinect usage requirements and higher price than its competitors. In response to the criticism, Microsoft dropped these restrictions prior to releasing the console

DIABLO III

Diablo III is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the third installment in the Diablo franchise and was released in the Americas, Europe, South Korea, and Taiwan on May 15, 2012, and Russia on June 7, 2012,^[4] for Microsoft Windows and OS X. A console version was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 3, 2013.^[3] Versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One planned to be released on August 19, 2014.^[5]
In the game, players choose one of six character classes—Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor or Wizard—and are tasked with defeating the Lord of Terror, Diablo.
Diablo III set a new record for fastest-selling PC game by selling over 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release,^[6] and was the best selling PC game of 2012, selling more than 12 million copies during the year.^[7] Across all platforms it has sold over 15 million copies.^[8] Diablo III received generally positive reviews from critics, although its digital rights management that requires an internet connection at all times,^[9] in game auction house, and lack of end game content were criticized.
The expansion pack Diablo III: Reaper of Souls was released for the Windows and OS X editions of the game on March 25, 2014. The expansion pack content will be released as part of the Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition version, that is being released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on August 19, 2014.

FIFA 14

FIFA 14 is a sports association football simulation video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronics Arts. It was released in late September 2013 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo 3DS video game consoles and Microsoft Windows. It was also released as freeware for iOS and Android on 23 September 2013^[4] and for Windows Phone 8 on 28 February 2014, however, a lot of critical aspects are disabled without an in-app payment. It was a launch title for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2013 and was the last FIFA game to be released for the Playstation 2.

BIO ROBOT FRIDGE

The concept of using a box to cool food is one that’s been in existence since the mid 1700s and one that’s not going to change any time soon. One thing that may change by the year 2050, however, is the way that food is cooled.
Electrolux Design Lab holds a yearly competition to create home appliances, and each year there’s a particular theme. The theme for 2010 was “The 2nd Space Age,” where students were tasked to redesign household appliances  for the year 2050 that will not only take up less space but also use less energy, both of which will be at a premium in the future. All products have to stick with “Scandinavian Design values,” which Electrolux says includes environmental sensitivity, intuitive use, and pleasing to the eyes. Think IKEA.
Russian student Yuriy Dmitriev came up with the Bio Robot Refrigerator which uses a “biopolymer gel through luminescence” to keep its food cold. This device doesn’t look like a normal fridge with a door and separate compartments. The Bio Fridge would be made of a lime-green-colored odorless non-sticky gel that literally morphs around each item placed into the fridge. It looks like something out of a 90s Nickelodeon commercial or something you’d expect to see in a sci-fi flick. When you’re ready to get your food, you simply reach through the gel and grab the product.

It’s just one large piece of gel surrounded by a frame, so there are no drawers or doors. It can be hung vertically, horizontally, or even on the ceiling, which seems a little strange, but if we’re really going to be so hard up for space in 40 years, it may be necessary. The Bio Fridge is four times smaller than a normal-sized fridge. It also doesn’t have any moving parts, which means you’ll no longer hear that annoying hum of your old fridge when you’re trying to sleep at night.
In the second video below, Electrolux design director Lars Erikson says that the fridge “encapsulates the objects” and the gives it the right temperature to keep each object cold. Erikson says that we’ll probably need to have products that are more decorative since we won’t have the space to hide them away in the future. Skip to the 1:03 mark in the first video to hear about the Bio Fridge.
Though this is still a concept, it will be interesting to see how the Bio Fridge shapes up in the future. At least you’ll be able to see everything in your fridge in plain view so you won’t wonder what that nasty smell is for days and finally go searching through your fridge and find that old block of cheese rotting in the back.
The deadline for the 2011 competition was Sunday, May 1, so we should be seeing some new designs soon. The theme for the 2011 competition was “Intelligent Mobility,” so let your imaginations run wild with that one.
